The fall days are quickly approaching.  Cold weather quickly follows without phasing the kids.  They will start to beg to play outside, yet there's no way you're going to let them.  Are you looking for an activity to keep your home happy?  Something my kids enjoyed playing with their friends was creating a treasure hunt.  I put together rhyming clues that lead to the next location.  At the end of the hunt, I had a package of microwaveable popcorn to pop.  After the kids were done, they wanted me to put together another treasure hunt.  It was fun to see them have to think about what the clues meant.  As I was putting that together I thought it was so much better than just having the kids in front of the tv.  It's less engaging and not as fun.
