Twin Update
I have been asked about updates with the babies. Right now I am 25 weeks and 6 days. The ultrasounds each week continue to look great. It will be 4 weeks tomorrow since having the laser ablation surgery to coagulate the blood vessles in the placenta. This will let the babies get the blood supply independently. I cannot forget how grateful I am to the great care I received in Houston. Dr. Kenneth Moise and Dr. Johnson have great knowledge with fetal surgery. Not once did I question the care I was given while in Houston. After finding out about Texas Children’s Hospital, there was no question on going to another hospital to care for these babies.
The babies are continuing to grow, in fact, the ex-donor baby, is much more active than his brother. Right now, both heads are down and I wonder how long that will continue. Since I need to deliver by 36 weeks, I still have a little while to go. I’m hoping to go naturally instead of getting a c-section. I’ve never had a c-section, but I know the recovery is so much more tougher. I’ll keep you posted!
